They included, clockwise from left, Pam Cole, Harry and Shirley Drew, Madeline Acker, Mim Smith, DeeDee Tuttle, Barbara Herrick, Harriett Moen, Mary Salley, Ione Rush and Lois Farr, who joked that the club was ending its work due to bad backs, sore knees and old age. From 1949 to 2014 the club met the third Thursday of each month and was responsible for the sign at the corner on South Street. Phyllis Weatherbee, who was absent for the photo, was the first president when the club began with 16 members, getting up to as many as 24 at one time.
