PERFECT REGULAR SEASON — SeDoMoCha Middle School’s Jenna Clukey fires in a pitch, with Cailin Seavey at first, during a May 31 game at Greenville. The Eagles won 5-4 to finish the regular season undefeated. SeDoMoCha is scheduled to host the Penquis Southern Division winner, either Newport or Pittsfield, on Saturday, June 7.

Starters in the infield for the Eagles were Kiara Prescott catching, Cailin Seavey on first, Kylie Dow on second, Makenzie Beaudry at short and McKenna Higgins on third. Starting in the outfield were Olivia Wesley, Jordan Campbell and Hayley Grant. Hannah Sprecher came in for Higgins on third in the fifth inning.  Getting some time in the outfield for the Eagles was Lexi London who came in for Grant.  Olivia Wesley services were needed as a pinch runner.
The bats of the Eagles were red hot again, with Campbell and Clukey leading the Eagle offense with two hits each.
Later in the week on Saturday, May 31 the Eagles traveled to Greenville to play the Lakers for a makeup game originally slated for late April. In the circle for the Lakers was Lily Pelletier and Clukey got the start for the Eagles. This pitching duel took seven innings to decide, with each pitcher throwing a complete game.
Pelletier kept the red hot bats of the Eagles at bay, giving up only five runs — a season low for the Eagles — while striking out nine.
Head coach Chris Wesley changed his starting infield slightly with Mariah Poulin starting at second. Adjustments in the outfield starters were Sprecher to right and London to left.
Clukey allowed four Lakers to score in the game, a season-high for the Eagles, while striking out 14. The Eagles scored first, putting three runs on the board in the first and one in the second. The Lakers answered with two in the third.
Clukey added some insurance in the top half of the sixth with a solo home run. The Lakers made it a one run game in the bottom half of the sixth. Each side had a scoreless seventh inning, giving the Eagles a 5-4 win keeping the undefeated season intact.
Next week on Saturday, June 7 the Eagles will host the league championship game in a match-up with the Southern Division champion. The Eagles will face either the team from Newport or Pittsfield as this division winner is to be determined.
