Kiwanis hosting kids’ fishing program

    DEXTER — The Dexter Sunrise Kiwanis Club will host a “Hooked on the Maine Outdoors” fishing program for fourth-graders at Ridge View Community School on  May 27.
    Students will be bused to a privately-owned pond in Dexter and shown the basics of how to fish – baiting, casting and hooking. The kids will also be able to bring home their catch.

    The program is made possible through volunteer help and contributions from the Dexter Fish and Game Association, Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union, Toot’s Delicatessen, Cynthia Savage – in memory of Robert Savage – and AOS 94 for providing transportation and teacher supervision.
