DOVER-FOXCROFT — On Saturday, May 10 at 9 a.m., the Center Theatre welcomes Dale Anthony Girard, SAG and AFTRA actor, stunt coordinator and stunt performer for a special “Fighting for Film” workshop.
“I have known Dale for a number of years, and he is an incredibly gifted performer and teacher.  He has done so much in film, doing everything from acting and stunt coordination, to fire gags and precision driving. He possesses a wealth of knowledge about the film industry, and we are fortunate that he was able to find time in his busy schedule to offer a workshop here at the Center Theatre,” says Executive Director Angela Bonacasa. “We are also grateful to our co-sponsor, the Foxcroft Academy Film Department, for their support in making this event possible.”

As stunt coordinator, Girard has developed action sequences with artists including Hugo Weaving, Brian Cox, Jack Davenport, Matthew Modine, Adrian Paul, Terry O’Quinn and David Carradine.  As a stunt performer, he has worked in both film and television with recent television credits on “Revolution” and “Lizard Lick Towing.”  Based in North Carolina, he serves as the primary stunt coordinator for the North Carolina Stuntmen’s Association, is the Director of Stage Combat Studies/Stunt Safety Coordinator for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and as an assistant instructor for Tiger Kim’s Taekwondo Schools (WTF).
