Anderson hired to lead FA softball team

sp-andersonmug-dcX-po-13    DOVER-FOXCROFT — Scott Anderson of Dover-Foxcroft has been hired as the new varsity softball coach at Foxcroft Academy. Anderson has coached softball for the past eight seasons, developing players from the youth level up through high school. He spent the last three seasons coaching the SeDoMoCha Middle School Eagles, concluding that run with an undefeated season and league title.

Anderson is excited for the opportunity to build a strong program at the high school level, noting that there is a positive buzz for the upcoming season and those to follow. “We have a lot of young talent coming up and some veteran players that will make for a strong, fundamentally-sound team,” he said. “We will compete at a high level, I do promise that. I can’t wait to get to work and hear the words ‘Play Ball.’”
“We’re excited to bring Scott aboard and feel confident that he will move the program in the right direction,” added Tim Smith, athletic director and assistant head of school at Foxcroft Academy.
The Ponies will host PCSS on April 22 to open the season.
