Martell receives MPA Principal’s Award

Martell of Guilford, a senior at Piscataquis Community Secondary School, has been selected to receive the 2014 Principal’s Award, Principal Kevin Harrington announced. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic excellence, outstanding school citizenship and leadership.

    Martell has an excellent academic record and is highly regarded among staff and students. He and other award winners and their principals will attend an Honors Luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on April 5.
    The Honors Luncheon recognizes these outstanding students with the presentation of an individual plaque, lapel pin and entry into a drawing giving them the opportunity to be awarded one of the 10 $1,000 scholarships.
    The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 130 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
