Bell and Drinkwater play basketball at Husson
BANGOR — Local residents Jessica Bell and Miranda Drinkwater both recently completed their first seasons on the Husson University women’s basketball team.
Bell, a guard from Guilford and a PCHS grad, played in 14 games for the Eagles, averaging 4.8 minutes a game. She tallied 15 points, 19 rebounds, two assists and three steals. Bell is the daughter of Joann and Dana Lovell and James Bell.
Drinkwater, a guard from Greenville and Greenville High School graduate, played in 24 games, averaging 6.8 minutes a contest. Drinkwater tallied 40 points, 22 rebounds, 11 assists and 11 steals. She is the daughter of Michael Drinkwater and Yvette Roy.
Husson finished 2013-14 with an overall record of 15-12, going 13-5 in North Atlantic Conference play. The fourth-seeded Eagles reached the conference semifinals, falling at No. 1 and Castleton (Vt.) State 79-55.
