BALLOON FESTIVAL PHOTO CONTEST WINNERS

     The winners of the Piscataquis Heritage Hot Air Balloon Festival Photo Contest were honored on Jan. 3 at the Dover-Foxcroft Post Office. Deb Ross, left of Parkman, earned first-place honors in the contest and she received a framed copy of her winning photo along with a replica cancellation notice with the festival logo. Matthew Roy of Charleston had the second-place photo and he and Ross each received Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce — one of the festival founders along with the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club — dollars for their photographs at $100 and $80 for first and second place. The third-place photographer in the contest was Suzanne Trussell of Stetson, winning $50 in Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce dollars.
