Jack Does That at DDATT meeting

DEXTER — Jack Does That, the locally based hour-exchange organization, will be the featured topic at the monthly Dexter Dover Area Towns in Transition (DDATT) meeting on Friday, Jan 10 (Jan. 17 snow day) at 7 p.m. at the Abbott Memorial Library Meeting Room.

While Patrick Myers, coordinator of Jack Does That, has previously explained to DDATT supporters how the hour-exchange system works for individuals, this evening will be devoted to how organizations and groups can benefit from the “time bank.”
When both a group and its volunteer workers become members of Jack Does That, many more opportunities for sharing skills and services open up in the community, because the “pool” of those available skills and services suddenly becomes much larger than just that one group’s members.
As Myers says, “In this area, we are skill rich but cash poor! We have what we need if we use what we have.”
DDATT invites all area groups and organizations which depend for any degree on volunteerism to attend this informational meeting on Jan 10. For more information contact 277-4221 or info@ddatt.org.
