D-F Kiwanis to host U.S.’s first New Year’s Eve party

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club morning meeting falls on Tuesday, Dec 31 at 6:30 a.m. December program chair Dennis Lyford has decided to take advantage by hosting an early morning New Year’s Eve party.

    “We believe that this will be the first New Year’s Eve party to held in America to welcome in 2014,” Lyford said. “If someone wants to have an earlier party, we are going to lose any sleep over it, in other words, we are going to get up any earlier.”
    The party is being billed as a “party for those who can’t wait or wait up,” he added. The Kiwanis will have party favors, a special toast to welcome in the new year as well as a small auction to benefit Sarah’s House.
    The Kiwanis Club would to like to invite area Kiwanis Clubs as well as the general public to attend. For more information contact Lyford at 564-3371.
