CONGRATS FROM THE LEGISLATURE — State Rep. Paul T. Davis Sr., left of Sangerville, recently presented a Legislative Sentiment to Will’s Shop ‘n Save owner Will Wedge congratulating the Dover-Foxcroft grocery store for receiving Business of the Year honors from the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce. Also pictured is Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis President Robert Moore and Kiwanis Treasurer Barbara Moore.

Owner Will Wedge is a graduate of the University of Maine and Husson College and honorably served his country for five years in the U.S. Air Force. For 32 years, Wedge gained extensive grocer experience, having spent 20 years in the retail sector of Hannaford and another 12 years working in the corporate office. His roles at Hannaford included store manager, merchandising specialist, category manager and director.
Wedge is further known for his civic contributions, as he is always a generous giver of his time, treasure and talent in supporting community organizations. Melissa Wedge, Will’s wife and store co-owner, is a University of Maine and University of New England graduate. She is a licensed social worker and has worked for several non-profits and social service agencies throughout Maine. Although much of her time is spent on the road as a clinical consultant, Mrs. Wedge’s role at the store is focused on human resources.  The couple’s two daughters, Emily and Abby, are store assistants when not attending classes at Husson University.
In the sentiment, the area representatives state, “We, the members of the Senate and House of Representatives, join the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce and its members in congratulating family-owned and operated Will’s Shop ‘n Save.  The establishment is to be commended for valuing its customers and associates, and we hope it realizes continued good fortune over the years to come.”
