    DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Piscataquis County Retired Educators Association met Sept. 24 at the Bear’s Den with several members and two guests. President Gil Reynolds welcomed all and introduced David Mahoney from the Bangor Social Security office. He answered many questions and explained the reasons why retired teachers are not entitled to certain monies. Many gave Mahoney their phone numbers so they could talk with him personally about their own problems.

    Plans were made to meet Dec.  3 at Thayer Parkway for a Christmas party. More information will be provided at a later date. Reynolds asked for the secretary and treasurer’s report and then with no further business adjourned the meeting.
