Join Pat’s Pizza in helping hard-working people
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Pat’s Pizza of Dover-Foxcroft is donating 10 percent of food sales each Monday in the month of September to help heat the homes of “hard working families,” said manager Jason Simpson. The funds will be donated to the Penquis Good Neighbor Fund which provides home heating assistance to individuals, seniors and families facing crisis situations.
“These are difficult times for many families and I know many can relate to having an empty fuel tank and the stress and problems that causes. It can lead to frozen pipes and damage to the home, not to mention the fact that families are cold,” Simpson said.
The money raised will be designated to families living in Piscataquis County. People who would like to support this cause can dine in or call for take-out for the entire day on Monday, Sept. 30. The goal is to raise enough money to fill the fuel tank for several families.
“Our hope is people will come with their family and friends, dine in or take-out and this will help as many people as possible,” said Simpson. Pat’s Pizza is located at 100 East Main Street, and can be reached at 564-2500.
