THEY’RE IN THE MONEY — During National Assisted Living Week, Hilltop Manor and Pleasant Meadow Estates of Dover-Foxcroft both conducted several fundraisers to give back to the community. From left are Hilltop residents Amy Cote, Betty LaPointe and Robert Terrill, with Activity Director Tiffany Berry kneeling, Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft Past Lt. Governor, Past President and President-elect Bob Moore and current President Debbie Somers.
The two held a homemade happiness raffle with all the proceeds donated to the Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft for the children’s Christmas fund. They held a car wash with all the proceeds donated to the Piscataquis Regional YMCA for the scholarships fund. They held a blood drive with the Red Cross, had a bottle drive, and a food drive at both facilities, with proceeds used to purchase food for the local food cupboard.
Many of the residents assisted with making jams, jelly and pickles that were also donated to the local food cupboard. They all had fun and were very happy to give back to our community. They welcome anyone to feel free to stop and say hello at anytime, they enjoy having visitors.
