Foxcroft Academy X-C at Ellsworth Invitational

    ELLSWORTH — The Foxcroft Academy cross country team began the 2013 season by competing in the Ellsworth Invitational on Sept. 7, with four girls and four boys running for the Ponies.

    In the girls meet, sophomore Jenny Clawson led Foxcroft by placing 60th in a field of 82 entrants with a time of 26 minutes, 36.97 seconds. Other Pony runners were senior Clara Stephens, 68th at 27:13.54; junior Ana Sedlackhova, 78th at 31:18.33; and junior Luming Guan, 81st at 36:26.30.
    Junior Noah Simpson led the Foxcroft boys by finishing 62nd out of 90 with a time of 21:07.72. Also running in Ellsworth were sophomore Yun-Ting Tsai, 78th at 23:33.33; freshman Taylor Smith, 80th at 23:46.60; and freshman Ethan Poland, 90th at 31:52.07.
