Flag Day celebration to commemorate Civil War

    GUILFORD — The Sarah Elizabeth Palmer Tent, Daughters of Union Veterans and the Daniel Chaplain Camp 3, Sons of Union Veterans would like to invite the public to a Flag Day memorial service at the Elmwood Cemetery in Guilford on June 15 at 2 p.m.

    A memorial service will be held for veterans Thomas Matthews and Henry Curtis, two of Guilford’s many Civil War Veterans.
    The ceremony will include a profile of the lives of these two men, please come and hear about Guilford’s historic past and honor the Civil War veterans.
