Bridge the Gap 5K Road race results

    VERONA ISLAND — Four runners from the area took part in the second annual Bridge the Gap 5K on April 7. Placing 75th out of 209 entrants was Sherree Paradis, 43, of Guilford, who covered the 3.1-mile course in 31 minutes, 26 seconds. Also running was Heidi Corkery, 43, of Sangerville, who placed 102nd at 34:22; Kat Burgess, 24, of Guilford, 105th at 34:34: and Louise Robinson, 43, of Dexter, 123rd at 36:49.

    Twenty-three-year-old Spencer McElwain won the Bridge the Gap 5K in 16:38. The women’s winner was Erika Lebel, 34, of Eddington, in 24:10 to place 13th overall.
