Road race results

    LAMOINE — The spring road race season got underway on March 30 with the eighth annual Flat-Top 5K. Placing 50th out of a field of 247 runners was Chris Almy, 63, of Charleston, who covered the 3.1-mile course in 22 minutes, 48 seconds. Also running was Gary Larson, 67, of Dover-Foxcroft, who finished 69th at 24:04.

    Winning the Flat-Top 5K was Adam Goode, 29, of Bangor, in 15:56. The women’s winner was Jennifer Van Dongen, 35, of Bar Harbor, who placed 11th overall at 18:56.
