BRUNSWICK — Eight local swimmers visited the Greason Pool on the Bowdoin College campus from March 14-17 to compete against USA swim teams from all across the state. Only swimmers with qualifying times are eligible to swim at the Winter Champs Meet.
The goal of the swimmer is to qualify in as many events during the regular seasons as they can. The swimmers with the top eight point totals at the meet earn a high point trophy for their age group.

Swimmers in the age groups of 12 and under are allowed to swim in nine events. Swimmers in the 13 and up age groups are allowed to swim in six events, which include preliminaries, with the top 16 returning to swim in the final later in the day.
