The team is scheduled to open the postseason with a quarterfinal game, against the 7. Sumner-10. Lee prelim winner, on the morning of Tuesday, Feb.19 at the Bangor Auditorium. Dexter was just one of five girls teams statewide, and seven between girls and boys, to finish with a record of 18-0 — C East No. 1 Calais also went 18-0. The girls, with sophomore Alex Speed pictured during a December victory vs. Bangor Christian, and boys of PCHS both will be playing in the preliminary rounds of the Class C East tournament. The two squads will have short road trips with the girls at Penquis Valley and the boys going to Dexter — each game will be sixth and 11th seed matchups.

The season is not over for the Foxcroft Academy and Dexter boys as both teams will have preliminary round games to play for berths in the quarterfinals at the Bangor Auditorium. The Ponies are 13th in Class B East and the team will play at No. 4 Oceanside in Rockland, while the sixth seed Tigers will host neighboring rival No. 11 PCHS in a Class C East prelim.
