Pony indoor track results

ORONO — The Foxcroft Academy indoor track and field team took part in an Eastern Maine Indoor Track League “mini meet” during the morning of Jan. 19 at the University of Maine. The meet, which began at 6:50 a.m. to avoid conflicts with collegiate athletic events later in the day, had no team scoring as athletes were limited to just two events apiece with the 4×880 relay not being run and starting distances set for the long and triple jumps.

Pony senior Donald Boyer won both his events as he took home first place in the high jump, at 5 feet, 10 inches, and the triple jump with a distance of 41-00.75. Junior Ryan Wang had the meet’s fastest time in the 55 at 6.91 seconds, and he also came in third in the 200 at 24.45 seconds.

Senior Cody Levensalor was second in the shot put with a top throw of 44-00.25. Sophomore Peter Boyer also placed in the top 10 of both of his events as he was ninth in the shot put at 37-03.50 and 10th in the triple jump at 33-04.50.

In the girls meet two Foxcroft athletes finished in the top 10. Junior Liza Grigoryeva finished ninth in the mile with a time of 6:44.69. Junior Mia Smith placed 10th in the long jump at a distance of 12-05.50.
