Tiger connection at Southern Maine
GORHAM — A pair of Dexter Regional High School graduates were members of the men’s soccer team at the University of Southern Maine during the 2012 season.
Devon Grant, a resident of Dexter, was a senior captain for the Huskies. The midfielder started 17 games. Joining him on the team was freshman midfielder William Pearsall of Garland, who played in nine games with a pair of starts.
USM finished the year with an overall record of 5-12, including 2-5 in Little East Conference play.
The Huskies came in fifth in the conference standings, just out of a playoff spot for the top four teams.
