PRYMCA offers lifeguard training course

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Piscataquis Regional YMCA will be offering a YMCA Lifeguard Certification Course starting on Feb. 21. This course will prepare participants to work as a lifeguard at the Y or other facilities. The course runs from Thursday, Feb. 21 through Saturday, Feb. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the PRYMCA at 48 Park Street.

    Participants in the class must be at least 15 years of age on or

before Aug. 17  and must also know how to swim and be comfortable in the water. The fee for all participants must be paid in full before the class begins. Participants must register by Feb. 4. To register, or for more information, please call the Piscataquis Regional YMCA at 564-7111.
