Learn to skate on Saturdays

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — A free learn to skate program will be offered by the town of Dover-Foxcroft to children age 5 and older on Saturdays from Jan. 19 to Feb. 9 from noon to 1 p.m. at the ice rink, located at the Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds on Fairview Avenue.

    Volunteers will teach ice skating with aides to boost confidence and give kids a chance to have lots of fun in the process. Children must bring their own skates and all participants need a helmet (bicycle helmets may be used). At least one parent or guardian must stay at the skating rink with their child during the program. For more information, please call 564-3318.
