PERCHED AT THIRD — SeDoMoCha Eagle Kiara Prescott takes a lead off third base in a preseason game vs. Centralh Middle School on April 27 at the Morton Avenue field in Dover-Foxcroft.
The Eagles did a great job in all aspects of the game with a big game on offense and giving up only two runs on defense. Starting pitcher for the Eagles was sixth-grader Mackenzie Beaudry making her pitching debut for the SeDoMoCha Eagles. She had a great outing striking out seven and allowing only two runs. Catching for the Eagles was Kiara Prescott who had a phenomenal day in all areas of the game, catching, hitting and running the bases.
Starters for the Eagles were Hannah Sprecher at first base, Kylie Dow at second with Mariah Poulin at shortstop and Cailin Seavey at third base. In the outfield was Maci Poulin in left, Samantha Higgins in center and Abby Ewer in right. Coach Scott Anderson made substitutions later in the game putting in Abbi Bourget as pitcher, Jenna Clukey on first base, Cassie Panciera in centerfield and Allie Bourget in at shortstop.
Central used three different pitchers throughout the game and made several substitutions. Some early inning walks by the Panthers and aggressive base running allowed the Eagles to take control of the game in the early innings.
SeDoMoCha looked sharp in all aspects of the game and the seven innings of effort and heads up play by the Eagles did not go unnoticed by Coach Anderson.
The Eagles’ regular season was scheduled to open on Tuesday with an away game in Milo against Penquis.
