    BANGOR — The Foxcroft Academy boys came in second out of nine teams during an April 23 meet at Cameron Stadium. The Ponies tallied 90 points, to trail only the 180 scored by Class A Bangor High School.

    Donald Boyer won both hurdle events and he was second in two of the sprints. Boyer ran a time of 15.03 seconds to come in first in the 110 hurdles and he won the 300 hurdles with a time of 42.68 seconds.
    Boyer had the second fastest times of the meet in both the 100 and 200 at 11.73 and 24.21 seconds respectively.
    Cody Levensalor had Foxcroft’s other first-place finish. He won the shot put with a throw of 45 feet, 9 inches. Paul Birtwistle placed second in the 1,600 racewalk with a time of 10:53.30, and right behind in third place was Cooper Nelson at 10:54.15.
    Corey Bjornson came in third in the discus at 123-01, and he also placed in the other two throwing events.
    Bjornson placed fourth in the shot put at 38-08, and he was sixth in the javelin at 124-02. Jacob LaBree also had a third-place finish, in the 100 at 12.09 seconds.
    LaBree was part of the fourth-place 4×100 relay team as Justin Diamond, Wesley Stinson, LaBree and Bjornson combined for a time of 49.47 seconds.
    Other Pony point scorers were Jeremiah McLeod, who tied for fourth in the high jump at 5-02; Caleb Atkinson, fifth in the shot put at 38-06.26; Peter Boyer, fifth in the javelin at 127-02; Louis LaFache, sixth in the shot put at 38-00.75; and the 4×800 relay (comprised of Nelson, Birtwistle, James Smith and Julian Zepeda) sixth at 9:56.23.
    The Greenville High School boys accumulated 33 points to place sixth at the Bangor meet. Matt DiAngelo was the individual winner in the long jump at 18-10.50.
    DiAngelo also ran the third leg of the second-place 4×400 relay (joining Henry Hersey, Tristan Richards and Cody Watson) which had a time of 3:44.44 and he was fourth in the 100 at 12.34 seconds and fifth in the 200 at 24.96 seconds.
    Watson came in third in the 400 at 54.75 seconds and he placed sixth in the 200 at 25.18 seconds. Hersey placed fifth in the triple jump at 34-11.75.
    In the girls meet Foxcroft finished sixth out of eight schools with a score of 19 points. Fern Morrison won the 200 in 28.51 seconds and she came in fourth in the 100 at 14.29 seconds. Abigail McLeod also scored points for the Ponies with her fourth-place jump in the high jump at 4-04.
    The Greenville girls tallied 14 points to finish in seventh place. Andrea Gurnery was the runner-up in the discus at 82-09 and in fourth-place in the javelin was Brooke Noyes with a throw of 74-03.
    Greenville’s 4×100 relay came in sixth as Olivia Bouchard, Anna Kronholm, Erin Welsh and Leah Bilodeau combined for a time of 59.27 seconds.
