PVC all-conference honors

The region’s high schools were well represented on the Penobscot Valley Conference list of accolades for the 2016 season in field hockey and boys and girls soccer.

The First Team honorees for field hockey include Becca Batron and Abby Webber of Dexter Regional High School, Foxcroft Academy’s Ali Bourget and Makeznie Beaudry and Miriah Chapman of Piscataquis Community High School.

Named to the Second Team were Grace Belanger and Kaitlyn Webber of Dexter and Cassidy Marsh of Foxcroft.

Foxcroft’s Abbi Bourget and Jewel Lamb and Sydney Marden of PCHS all received honorable mention recognition from the PVC.

Field hockey All-Academic players include Belanger, Alyssa Brasier, Hannah Farrar, Kilee Lewis, Megan Peach, Kaitlyn Pinkham and Abby Webber of Dexter; Abbi Bourget; and Hannah Bagley, Chapman, Danika Hill, Morgan Hutchins, Marden and Taylor Sinclair of PCHS.

In boys Class B soccer Logan Butera of Foxcroft was named to the First Team and Levi Stedman earned Second Team honors.

The Ponies’ Andrew Miles and Chandler Rockwell were both All-Academic honorees for Class B.

For Class C, PCHS’ Bryce Gilbert earned First Team recognition and the Pirates’ Dillon Drew was chosen for the Second Team. Clayton Preble of Penquis Valley High School was selected for the Third Team.

Connor DiAngelo of Greenville High School was a Class D First Team pick. Greenville’s Evan Bjork is a Second Team honoree.

For girls Class B soccer, both Kendra Ewer and Olivia Wesley of Foxcroft were chosen for the PVC Second Team.

Representing the school on the All-Academic Team is Mariaisabel Cedeno, Erika Chadbourne, Bonnie Page and Emily Sprecher.

The Class C First Team includes Erin Speed of PCHS and Penquis’ Cymeria Robshaw and Camryn Rolfe.

Hannah Dorman of Dexter and Kelsey Robinson of Penquis are both Second Team selections

The local Third Team players are Danielle Cummings of Dexter and Sara Almirante of PCHS.

Charlotte Aucoin and Jessica Pomerleau of Greenville earned Class D First Team recognition. The Lakers’ Bianca Breton is on the Second Team.
