‘A Christmas Story’ auditions on Saturday

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre and the Slightly Off-Center Players announce auditions for the upcoming production of “A Christmas Story”. This classic American Christmas play, directed by David Murray, will be performed Dec.9, 10, 11, 16 and 17.

Auditions will be held at the Center Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9-11 a.m. Anyone interested in auditioning who can’t make those scheduled times should contact the Center Theatre at 564-8943 or info@centertheatre.org.

Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director, is excited to see this production hit the stage, “Lots of people love the movie version of ‘A Christmas Story’ and we can’t wait to show them the live stage version that is just as funny, endearing, and full of Christmas charm.” Myers also states that anyone interested in getting involved behind the scenes can drop in during auditions or contact the theatre.

 

Rehearsals will begin in mid-October and will be held after school or in the evenings with some weekend rehearsals planned. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal.
