Discussion on Moses Greenleaf Sept. 7

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Dover-Foxcroft Historical Society will be hosting a talk by Carlson Williams entitled “The Travels of an 1815 Moses Greenleaf Map of the District of Maine” on Wednesday, Sept. 7. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and be held at the Gerrish-Warren Meeting Room at Thayer Parkway on Park Street.

Williams will talk about an old map of Maine, the recent discovery of the role it played in the very early history of the state, the men who carried it into the northern Maine wilderness nearly 200 years ago and annotated it with discoveries that they made for Maine’s first governor, William King.
