Tradewinds’ new Spirit Pump to benefit Boston Red Sox Foundation

MILO — Tradewinds CITGO Market is one of 23 stations in New England that has installed a Boston Red Sox “Spirit Pump” to help raise funds for the Boston Red Sox Foundation. A portion of every sale from the Spirit Pump will be donated directly to the foundation to help benefit underserved children and families in the region. This special pump, decorated in red and navy, is just one way customers can donate at the station. Customers can also look for “Fuel Change” donation boxes or receive a one-of-a-kind Red Sox Foundation baseball mobile at the register by donating to the foundation.

Through October, CITGO Petroleum Corporation, along with its local New England partners, SEI Fuels, H.A. Mapes, Global Partners and Tradewinds, will support the Red Sox Foundation through the installation of unique Red Sox-branded gas pumps at multiple CITGO stations throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine.

“We greatly appreciate the Red Sox pride and support that CITGO and its Marketers are providing at their stations throughout New England,” said Gena Borson, executive director of the Red Sox Foundation. “Not only are the CITGO Red Sox Foundation Spirit Pumps helping to fuel our enrichment programs and activities at the foundation, but they are also encouraging local residents to get involved and share the responsibility for improving our communities.”
