Moosehead Lake’s Greenville Junction wharf to host presentations

GREENVILLE — The Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District (PCSWCD), the Natural Resource Education Center (NREC) and the Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (IF&W) presented “Fisheries for Families Day” at the Greenville Junction Wharf on Saturday, May 21. Everyone in attendance enjoyed perfect weather, informative and interesting presentations from Tim Obrey and Gene Arsenault and a great morning of fishing.

HANDS-ON SALMON Gene Arsenault of the Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Embden fish hatchery lets attendants get up close and personal with some landlocked salmon during Fisheries for Families Day at the Greenville Junction Wharf.

CATCH OF A FUTURE DAY Families were able to release or stock the landlocked salmon into Moosehead lake. In a few years, the fish will be there for them to catch.
