Moosehead Chamber awarded AED

GREENVILLE — The Moosehead Lake Region Chamber of Commerce is the proud new owner of an Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED) provided by MCD Public Health and the Maine Cardiovascular Health Council through the “Promoting Early CPR and Defibrillation Through HeartSafe Communities” grant. Grant funding is provided by the Health Resources and Services Administration, Office of Rural Health Policy, with the purpose of purchasing 300 FDA approved AED units over the next three years and placing them into rural areas after providing defibrillation and hands-only CPR training.

On May 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. the Moosehead Chamber will be hosting hands-only CPR and AED training at the Greenville Town Office. Please register by emailing info@mooseheadlake.org or calling 695-2702 by May 17. Attendees should wear comfortable clothing with training involving being on hands and knees.
