DOVER-FOXCROFT — The GFWC/Miosac Club enjoyed music by the Doughty Hill Band members Sid Stutzman and Brian Campbell at a recent meeting — the club appreciates their time and effort.

PERFORMING FOR THE CLUB Brian Campbell, left, and Sid Stutzman, pictured with Rheba Michaud, performed at a recent meeting of the GFWC/Miosac Club in Dover-Foxcroft.

President Vicki Moschella called the meeting to order. Dot Finnemore led the Club Collect, American’s Creed and Pledge of Allegiance.

Minnie McCormick took roll call with 12 members present. She then read the secretary’s report, followed by the treasurer’s report from Carol Kilpatrick. Pat Jones reported on the community improvement project. Moschella announced the new committees. Budget: Jones, Kilpatrick and Athalie Burke. Advisory: Suzanne Raymond, Barb Austin and Jones. McCormick volunteered to continue with publicity and she will also do look out. Elaine Larson will be the calling committee.

Anne Cress reported on the ice out contest with ice still in. Larson reported on the very successful art show.

Under unfinished business, McCormick announced the pinwheel project would be set up soon. Kilpatrick reported on the Miosac Club Scholarship. McCormick displayed four Project Linus quilts she has made.

Moschella spoke about the GFWC Maine Photo Contest with three entries from the club at spring convention in May. Several club members will be attending the event.

Roxy McGlauflin, birthday dinner chair, announced where the banquet will be in May.

The meeting was adjourned and delicious refreshments were served by Austin and Finnemore.
