‘It’s All About You!’ at March 5 Caring for the Caregiver event

DOVER-FOXCROFT — As part of its ongoing effort to support caregivers through the Caring for the Caregiver program, Pine Tree Hospice is hosting “It’s All About You!” on March 5 at the Charlotte White Center, 572 Bangor Road.

Caregivers will be pampered through massage therapy, aromatherapy, essential oils, manicures and guided meditation. Information about caregiver resources will also be available, such as TiP caregiver resources and local transportation services. A delicious lunch by Spruce Mill Farm will be served.

This free event is open to all caregivers, professional and personal, whether in the present or in the past, male or female. One in seven Mainers are taking care of a spouse, parent, friend or neighbor. These caregivers dedicate themselves sometimes for years at a time and at great personal cost in terms of their own physical, mental and financial well-being. The Caring for the Caregiver program offers several events throughout the year to educate and uplift area caregivers.

Realizing that it is difficult for caregivers who are unable to leave their family members alone, limited respite resources are available for this event. Pre-register by calling 564-4346 or email wecare@pinetreehospice.org.
