Miles recognized on NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll

PO SPMILESMUG 4 16 16846279COLCHESTER, Vt. — St. Michael’s College field hockey player Monica Hope Miles, of Dover-Foxcroft, was one of the college’s 227 student-athletes qualifying for the Northeast-10 (NE-10) Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the fall semester. Miles was also one of 12 Purple Knights who posted a 4.0 GPA during the semester, earning the second 4.0 semester of her career.

The St. Michael’s field hockey team topped the college with 22 honorees, tying for first in the NE-10. St. Michael’s tied for 10th among the league’s 15 institutions in total honorees, while the college was eighth by having 62 percent of its NE-10 student-athletes land on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Student-athletes that earn a minimum 3.0 GPA during a given semester are eligible for the accolade.

Miles, a back, started all 18 games for St. Michael’s during the 2015 season. She recorded one assist, with five shots including three on goal. The Purple Knights finished with a record of 8-10, going 4-8 in NE-10 play.

A 2013 graduate of Foxcroft Academy, Miles is majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. She is the daughter of Dr. Ronald Miles Jr. and Katie Miles.
