— Frances Eva Clemens Luikey Marcelonis, a resident of Hibbard Skilled Nursing Center, turned 103 on Christmas Day. Fran was born in Athol, Mass. Her parents were immigrants from Lithuania and Fran can speak Lithuanian as well as English. She had three children, Walter, Virginia and David, and has grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fran enjoyed tatting, knitting crocheting. She worked as a nurse in a state hospital in Massachusetts. She enjoyed playing many different games and continues to play bingo very well. She has had a very interesting life; she has been gored by a bull, was struck by lightning, and had gotten stuck in a snowbank — literally — until her mother came and found her. All at Hibbard wished her a very happy 103rd birthday.
