People at Dexter Family Practice have lost their marbles

DEXTER — On Jan. 11, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Dexter Family Practice Quality Care Team along with their participating patients, patient families, friends and colleagues will be celebrating their 1,000 pound weight loss achievement thus far in the “Marble Weight Loss Challenge” with an open house at the Reddy Health Center, 51 High Street.

Since late May, patients at Dexter Family Practice have collectively lost more than 1,000 pounds. This weight loss challenge, which started as a patient incentive, has grown into a very successful, innovative and inspiring venture. For each pound lost by a patient, one marble is placed in a jar, one jar for the ladies and one jar for the men. Many folks who have been struggling for years with weight loss have been successfully placing marbles in the jar consistently for months.

Please join for this exciting community open house as to kick off the New Year celebrating this weight loss while bridging the gap between health and healthcare with innovative ideas aimed at achieving healthy goals. There will be representation from the State of Maine, Quality Counts of Maine as well as the guest star patients showcasing this very successful and fun journey.
