PCES SCHOOL CONCERT PCES students in grades 4-6 will perform a concert on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. at the school on Campus Drive in Guilford. The various ensembles at PCSS will perform on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.

Grades 4-6 will be raising their voices and instruments on Thursday, Dec. 10 from 6 until 7 p.m. at the Piscataquis Community Elementary Gymnasium at the school on Campus Drive. The concert is an annual tradition that parents and friends do not want to miss.

This year the fourth-graders have developed a special song and dance routine, “Start the Day with a Smile”, and the sixth grade band members have been practicing long and hard. Students take great pride in their accomplishments and enjoy the support of parents and friends.

Attendance is free, but the public is invited to bring a donation for the school’s giving tree. Every year students bring non-perishable food items which make their way from the giving tree to the local food cupboards.

The middle and high school concert features the band and chorus and will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. in the PCSS gym.

These concerts are an annual tradition during which the community enjoys the warmth of the season and the talents of the kids. As they raise their voices they truly lift the spirits of those who attend.
