PCEDC’s quarterly meeting set for Dec. 14

DOVER-FOXCROFT — On Monday, Dec. 14 the Piscataquis County Economic Development Council (PCEDC) will hold its December quarterly meeting at the Mill Event Space from 5-7:30 p.m.

The evening will begin with an opportunity to network, followed by the annual business meeting, a catered dinner and concluding with awarding the 13th annual Warren “Pete” Myrick Community Service Award.

The executive committee of PCEDC presents the Myrick Award each year to recognize a Piscataquis County citizen, business or organization who exemplifies Myrick’s concern for and commitment to education, economic development and/or civic leadership in the region. Myrick, a Guilford resident who died in 2002, was a long-time education in Guilford and a founder of PCEDC, serving as the council’s president in 2001.

The goal of PCEDC (formed in 1997) is to stimulate long-term sustainable economic development and growth throughout Piscataquis County.

If interested in attending, please contact Georgia Underwood at 564-3638. The event requires an RSVP by Wednesday, Dec. 9. For more information regarding PCEDC or the Myrick Award, please visit www.pcedc.org, or contact Executive Director Christopher Winstead at 564-3638 or Christopher.winstead@pcedc.org.
