Soccer all-star selections

A dozen soccer players from the region were honored for their play this past season by being named to their respective Maine Soccer Coaches Regional All-Star Teams.

Boys Northern Maine Class B honorees include Foxcroft Academy senior midfielder Antonio Ayala, junior keeper Logan Butera, senior back Nathaniel Church and senior forward Tobias Hogfeldt.

Northern Maine Class C picks from the area are Penquis Valley High School junior back Clayton Preble and sophomore forward Bryce Gilbert of Piscataquis Community High School.

Southern Maine Class D selections include Greenville High School sophomores keeper Evan Bjork, back Connor DiAngelo and forward Noah Pratt.

Skyler Theodore, a senior midfielder, of Dexter Regional High School was named to the girls Northern Maine Class C squad.

Representing Greenville on the Southern Maine Class D girls team are sophomore back Charlotte Aucoin and senior forward Shelby Ward.
