Pine Tree Hospice annual meeting

SANGERVILLE — Each fall Pine Tree Hospice invites its volunteers, board members and members from the community to celebrate the organization’s continued commitment to supporting those who are living with life-limiting illness by attending the annual meeting and dinner. The event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19 at the East Sangerville Grange beginning at 6 p.m.  The theme for this year’s meeting is “The Many Hands of Hospice.”

Pine Tree Hospice serves 39 towns in Piscataquis, Somerset and Penobscot County with volunteer hospice supports, such as caregiver respite, light housework, companionship and many other non-medical services.  The trained volunteers make a difference in the lives of clients in many ways, such as providing caregiver respite, food preparation and light housework, helping with errands. Most of all,  Pine Tree Hospice volunteers offer a caring presence that listens and makes every attempt to see that the client’s needs are met, whatever they may be.

Please RSVP to 564-4346 or wecare@pinetreehospice.org by Nov. 10.
