SeDoMoCha runs at league championship

        

CORINTH — The SeDoMoCha Middle School cross country team took part in the 2015 Penobscot Valley Middle School League Large School Championship on Oct. 15 at Central Middle School.

The Eagle boys finished with a score of 489 points to finish ninth in a field of 10 teams. First to cross the finish line for SeDoMoCha was Michael Gadwah. Gadwah covered the 1.9 miles in a time of 13 minutes, 4.91 seconds to place 49th out of 143 runners.

The rest of the  Eagle five was made up of Andrew Marshton, who was 78th at 14:16.76; James Jankunas, 101st at 15:02.63; Miles Gadwah, 130th at 18:52.35; and Hal Porter, 131st at 18:53.26.

SeDoMoCha’s girls cross country team placed 10th out 10 with 419 points at the league championship. Emily Leighton led her team by finishing 58th out of 149 runners in a time of 14:55.04.

Right behind was Grace Carlson in 60th place at 14:56.27. The other three Eagles were Kaylee Durgin, 81st at 15:50.59; Lilley Povak, 83rd at 15:52.04; and Kylie Butts, 137th at 20:59.63.
