HALF-MARATHON DUO

Seventeen-year old Jennifer Clawson and 15-year-old Virginia Macomber, pictured crossing the finish line, were first and second respectively in the female 15-19 age group during the Freeport Half-Marathon on Sept. 6.

Clawson finished 56th out of 126 runners by covering the 13.1 miles in 2 hours, 1 minute and 30.1 seconds and Macomber placed 98th at 2:35.69. The two are both Dover-Foxcroft residents and run cross country at Foxcroft Academy where Clawson is a senior and Macomber is a sophomore.
