Center collects for food cupboard

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center recently held a food drive for the local food cupboard during much of the month of July.

The Human Resources/Staff Recognition Quality Assurance Committee felt it would promote staff satisfaction to the community. The committee determined it would like to support the food cupboard based on the need in Dover-Foxcroft. Patients’ families also joined in the effort by donating non-perishable food items as well as monetary contributions. Jim Macomber of the Dover-Foxcroft Area Food Cupboard and Penquis picked up the food and said the items would be distributed directly to local residents.

From Aug. 3-21 the Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will be holding a back to school drive to collect new school supplies for area children. These items can be left in the front lobby and will be distributed the first week of school.
