Minnie Welts Bridge passed away at age 102 on Aug. 14, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Parkman, a retired schoolteacher who taught in Parkman schools for 29 years and a life member of Parkman Grange No. 305.
The Grange established the Minnie Welts Bridge Memorial Scholarship Fund to benefit deserving Parkman residents. The Grange hopes to annually award one or more scholarships of $500 each, funded through donations and their annual supper in Minnie’s name.
