AUGUSTA ART EXHIBIT
On Thursday, April 27, SeDoMoCha Middle eighth-grader Gavyn Moreshead traveled to Augusta where he had a piece on display in the Maine Youth Excellence in Art exhibition at the State Capitol complex. The Maine Arts Commission, in partnership with the First Lady of Maine Ann LePage, issued a call for art and teachers from schools in Maine were invited to submit one piece of two-dimensional artwork that represents artistic excellence from a K-12 artist.
The selected works are on display in various locations in the State House and Cross Office Building through mid-May. Selected artists, their families and submitting teachers will be invited to an opening reception hosted by the First Lady LePage where they will receive recognition for their artistic achievements.
