Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race participants

    The 49th annual Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race on April 25, covering 16.5 miles from the town of Kenduskeag into the city of Bangor, included a number of paddlers from the region taking part in the over one dozen different classes.

    In the K-2 competition, Trevor Weymouth of Charleston and Wesley Stinson of Corinth finished in first place with a time of 2 hours, 50 minutes and 19 seconds.
    In the C-25 Canoe Experience class, Kevin Cyr of Dexter placed 13th at 3:43.25.
    C-2 Women, Rebecca Dyment of Sangerville and Misty Tucker of Monson were seventh at 4:11.21.
    C-2 Short Recreation, Matthew Thibodeau of Exeter and Jesse Hensley of Corinna were ninth at 3:34.20.
    C-2 Short Beginner, Nicholas Chasse of Dover-Foxcroft and Ryan Thomas of Kenduskeag were 15th at 4:09.17.
    C-2 High School/Recreation, Devon Cuthbertson and Blake French, both of LaGrange, were second at 3:28.29.
