National School Breakfast Week was March 2-9, and studies show that students who participate in school breakfast have improved attendance, behavior and standardized test scores as well as decreased tardiness. In honor of National School Breakfast Week, the SeDoMoCha School food service celebrated with special cafeteria decorations colored by the students — with an appearance made by the SeDoMoCha eagle mascot as a special breakfast guest. National School Breakfast Week is a celebration aimed at increasing awareness of the school breakfast program among students and parents. During this celebration the school served 858 breakfasts to students. Breakfast is free year round to students at SeDoMoCha.
