Dexter cheering takes part in state finals

    AUGUSTA — The Dexter Regional High School cheering team, which two weeks prior won the regional title, finished eighth at the 2015 Class C state championship competition on Feb. 7 at the Augusta Civic Center. The Tigers earned a score of 107.2 points to best four teams at the competition featuring the top six squads from Eastern and Western Maine.

    Finishing in first place for the first state championship in program history was Lisbon High School with a score of 119.3 points. The runner-up was Dirigo High School of Dixfield with 118.1 points.
