The Guilford Memorial Library was a recent recipient of a Libri Foundation Books for Children grant. The library received 82 new fiction and non-fiction children’s books with a total value of more than $1,400. The Guilford Memorial Library was required to raise $350 locally and the Libri Foundation matched these funds at a 2:1 ratio. Included in these funds was an additional $350 worth of math and science books donated by Bill Strawbridge and Meg Wallhagen. The Guilford Memorial Library also wishes to thank local sponsors Joanne Bennett, Joyce Eggleston, Mr. and Mrs. William Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Haley and Karen Mock.
